I was part of a team who was asked to build a tool for internal auditors to use internationally. To accomplish this we conducted interviews across ten countries. As the User Experience Lead on this project, I helped to conduct these user interview sessions. We were able to identify some of the common pain points that users have, and come up with recommendations on how to address those within the application. One of the most common questions we heard users ask when being added to a new client was “What should I know that I don’t already know?” To address this I designed the application in a way that fostered doing research within the application, allowing teams to be able to choose to share information they have gathered, such as training videos, recommendations, document templates, etc.
